It is called the Green Passport because of its color. The Special (Green) Passport has many privileges. It allows visa-free entry to many countries with a limited number of days.
How to Obtain a Special Passport (Green) and What Is Its Duration?Individuals applying for a Special (Green) Passport must submit the required documents and make the necessary payments to the provincial population offices. Before going, appointments must be made online through the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs. Special Green Passports can be issued from 6 months to 5 years depending on the request of your supervisor at the institution you work for and the circumstances determined by the Ministry of Interior.
Ordinary Passport (Bordeaux):The Ordinary Passport (Bordeaux) is a type of passport issued to Turkish citizens who meet certain conditions by the Ministry of Interior, authorized governorships, or Turkish consulates. It is Bordeaux colored, hence known as the Bordeaux passport. Holders of a Bordeaux passport can travel directly to countries that do not require a visa. It can be issued for a period ranging from 6 months to 10 years upon the individual's request.

Diplomatic Passport (Black):
The Diplomatic Passport is a type of international identity that defines the status of diplomats, provides them with privileges, and is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Diplomatic (Black) Passport is issued to state officials and their families sent abroad to participate in conferences and congresses.

The Service (Gray) Passport is issued to individuals working abroad for the state, similar to the Green Passport. National athletes also use this passport. According to the Passport Law No. 5682, it only covers the duration they are on duty. The Gray (Service) Passport offers visa-free entry to many countries.
Passport Translation
The document used in international travel is called a passport. Passport translation is particularly requested by marriage offices for individuals living abroad or for those wishing to marry a foreign national. The document translated by a sworn translator is then certified by a notary. One other common place where passport translations are requested is businesses. Foreign nationals wishing to work in Turkey may be asked by the institution they are joining or by some embassies to have their passports translated.
Some institutions only accept the signed translation made by a sworn translator for passport translations. Official institutions carry out transactions with notarized passport translations. Translations of passports to be used abroad must be certified by a notary. Following that, for the passport translation to be valid abroad, Apostille approval must be obtained from the district governorate or governorship.
Situations Where Passport Translation Is Requested
During entry and exit to and from abroad, on tourist trips, official applications to foreign institutions, from foreign nationals wishing to work in Turkey, when foreign nationals wish to marry a Turkish citizen, in matters such as transfer, undertaking, and power of attorney in Turkey, during hospital treatments of foreign nationals, passport translation is obtained.
